The 154th Tactical Fighter Squadron, nicknamed BLACK KNIGHTS, is a squadron of F-15C Eagles under the Fighters Platoon, part of the DCS NA 33rd TFW Battalion.
The 154th “Black Knights” Fighter led by Rusty Shackleford is one of the two North American F-15C squadrons hell bent on killing Flankers and Fulcrums. In that regard, the F-15C handled by the best Eagle Drivers in TAW kills the commie jets with ease.
The Black Knights squadron holds weekly training at 1800 CST and each training tends to focus on a different aspect of flying each week depending on the needs of the squadron and TAW in general. Whether it be training in basic airmanship skills such as takeoff, landing, and formation, or in complex beyond visual range engagements following up to within visual range with only your cannon left to fight your way through the enemy, we believe everyone can learn something new by participating. These weekly trainings are the key to performing well in the mandatory events and make it more fun for everyone involved.
We’re open to new members of all skill levels, however, if you’re new to the F-15C, we recommend being active during the week and participate in the weekly practices to get spun up quickly and become an effective wingman. This makes it not only more fun for the more seasoned pilots but also for the new wingmen.
